'English Heritage', the test piece for the Welsh Regionals at Swansea on the 21st of March, now features as the main piece on the music stands and fine tuning is the order of the day with sectionals taking place as of last Friday. It is the intention to hold an open rehearsal on the night of 18th. of March at 8 o'clock for those who cannot make the trip down to South Wales. You will be welcome.
Personnel wise we have the band in position for Swansea and we will shortly be highlighting the different sections of the band here on the website too.
There are some new dates going onto the engagements page, for later in the year, which are still to be confirmed but get them into your diary as they will be just a phone call from being a confirmed appearance.
Congratulations also go to Aled Williams, Daniel Cooil and Owen Skillander with their successes at the North Wales Solos, Duets and Quartets Competition at Y Galeri in Caernarfon on the 20th of February. Thanks to everyone who took part and made it a good contesting day; from Abergynolwyn to the south, Ynys Mon in the west, to Northop and Wrexham in the north east. ............................. Our St.Davids' Day concert at Cymru Theatr Clwyd was a successful sell out again with all three bands in fine form on the night. The venue is booked again for 2011 ..... in 2014 it will actually be on the 1st. of March !!
Congratulations go, from all the band, to Gwyrfai Williams and Lesley Rigby on the occasion of their engagement on the 19th of February; that's obviously St.Valentines Day in Llanberis, we assume. Good Luck to you both.
We now move forward into 2010 with competing at the contests and performing in the concerts that can be found on the Engagements page and the band are rehearsing in earnest, particularly for the Swansea contest on March 21st.
